Government Research into Aged Care and Community Services

11-Feb-2010 The Government has researched the Aged Care and Community Services job sector recently, and has come up with the following conclusions:
  1. There is a large opportunity for part-time workers within the Community Service field
  2. Over 60% of the workforce in the Aged Care and Disability Carers fields are part-time. This makes it an ideal choice for mothers and those seeking flexible working conditions
  3. The demand on the Aged Care services will increase significantly inline with the increasing average age of the population. Projections are a doubling of the number of population over 65yrs of age over the next 40yrs.
  4. That working in a caring field, that is improving the quality of life of others, can be a rewarding career choice.
