Certificate II in Community Services is a nationally recognised accredited course. This course has been designed to provide participants with an introduction to work in the Aged Care or Community Services sectors.
Graduates will have skills in a wide range of community service support areas including: aged care, disability work, and child services. This is an introduction to community services work. It does not provide an immediate career outcome.
• Students must have basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• A current (within the last six months) Federal Police Check, this is an industry requirement. You will need this Police clearance if you wish to take part in any industry placement during the course.
This training is offered, either by face to face, flexible work based or distance studies. Assessment is competency based. Your Trainer/Assessor will provide you with the information required for this qualification.
Our students are our main priority and as such, we endeavour to support them in their studies. A variety of student support methods is offered, from ongoing one on one tutorial support as arranged between tutor and student by making an appointment, to group support when required. A tutor is available to answer and assist with any questions the student may have.
On completion of the course the student will receive a Certificate II in Community Services. Those who complete only part of the course will receive a Statement of Attainment for units completed.
