THIS COURSE IS FOR:
Workers across the community sector in organisations involved in community work, community development and community care services and volunteer programs, in a range of settings such as residential facilities, group homes, community agencies and government departments.
These workers apply knowledge and skills gained through qualifications or previous experience to resolve problems within organisational guidelines. They coordinate specific programs and/or projects and supervision and/or coordinate a limited number of classified workers or volunteers and report to service managers.
They undertake a first line management role.

WHAT DOES THE COURSE PROVIDE?

The Diploma is a Nationally Recognised Accredited Course which provides necessary skills and training to work within Community agencies, government departments or residential facilities.

WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS QUALIFICATION?

On completion of the course you will be qualified to work as a Community Care Coordinator, Respite Coordinator, Program Coordinator, House Coordinator, Shift Supervisor and Unit Manager.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

To gain entry into CHC52208 Diploma of Community Services Coordination candidates need to have previous work experience in the community sector in a job role that involved self-directed application of knowledge, exercise of independent judgement and decision making, and a range of technical and other skills.

TRAINING DELIVERY AND ASSESSMENT

This training is offered, either by flexible work based or distance studies. Assessment is competency based. Your tutor will provide you with the information required for this qualification.

STUDENT SUPPORT

Our students are our main priority and as such, we endeavour to support them in their studies. A variety of student support methods is offered, from ongoing one on one tutorial support as arranged between tutor and student by making an appointment, to group support when required. A tutor is available to answer and assist with any questions the student may have.

QUALIFICATION

On completion of the course the student will receive a Diploma of Community Services Coordination. Those who complete only part of the course will receive a Statement of Attainment for units completed.
