Certificate IV in Aged CareCHC40108 THIS COURSE IS FOR:Workers in these occupational groups work in residential care facilities within defined organisational guidelines and
service plans. These workers carry out activities related to personal care and other activities of daily living. They may provide services to individuals with complex needs and work with groups of older people and report to service managers and may be responsible for supervising a limited number of others. Career Options:Day activity Worker To gain this qualification you will need to complete a total of 15 Units of competency consisting of 11 Compulsory Units and 4 Elective Units.
WHAT DOES THE COURSE PROVIDE?Certificate IV in Aged Care is a nationally recognised accredited course which provides necessary skills and training to work within aged care organisations and/or residential facilities. WHAT CAN I DO WITH THIS QUALIFICATION?On completion of the course you will be qualified to work as a Day Activity Worker, Support Worker, Field Officer,Carer, Personal Care Assistant, Care Team Leader, Community Care Worker and In-home Respite Worker. ENTRY REQUIREMENTSCertificate IV in Aged Care Work has pre-requisites. Workers seeking enrolment in or or credit for this qualification must be able to demonstrate competence form the Certificate III in Aged Care Work core units. These being: CHCAC318A Work effectively with older peopleCHCAC319A Provide support to people living with dementia CHCCS411A Work effectively in the community sector CHCICS303A Support individual health and emotional wellbeing CHCPA301B Deliver care services using a palliative approach HLTAP301A Recognise healthy body systems in a health care context TRAINING DELIVERY AND ASSESSMENTThis training is offered, either by face to face, flexible work based or distance studies. STUDENT SUPPORTOur students are our main priority and as such, we endeavour to support them in their studies. A variety of student support methods is offered, from ongoing one on one tutorial support as arranged between tutor and student by making an appointment, to group support when required. A tutor is available to answer and assist with any questions the student may have. QUALIFICATIONOn completion of the course the student will receive a Certificate IV in Aged Care.
